Why we use real people in our sex-ed videos

Since our very first days, Sinclair Institute has always been about making YOUR love life better. Even our tag line, "Better Relationships. Better Sex" help keep us focused.

When we started putting out the world's first adult sex education videos, we were breaking new ground. Today we still take the trust we've earned very seriously. That's one of the reasons we use "real" people in our Better Sex Video Series®.

We could hire a dozen famous adult actors and put out a glitzy unbelievable product that is more porn than education, but that's not why we're here.

We take our customers needs seriously. Sure there are times when we may laugh and joke about the silly side of sex, but if your sex life has hit the skids, it's no laughing matter. A adult sex education video can sometimes be part of the cocktail that fixes a relationship, and even makes it stronger going forward.

We've posted a short clip to our YouTube channel today that talks a little bit about the real couples we used when we produced "Sexplorations".

We had to blur out the explicit parts so it would run on YouTube, but you'll get the idea...

We love the real couples and realistic situations! It just makes us more comfortable because the couples are so comfortable with each other. The Better Sex series just has an entirely different "feel" to it than hot porn. I mean, they both have their place in a relationship but when we are addressing a specific problem or trying to improve our relationship, we don't necessarily want to watch hot porn stars with perfect bodies going at it. We definitely aren't perfect so we can make a real connection with the couples from the Better Sex series. Most of all though, the series has enhanced our relationship more because of the real couples! They really helped us to understand that we don't have to be perfect and everyone has ups and downs in their relationship. We do hope you keep up the great work as the Better Sex series is an invaluable tool! Each dvd set we own has been priceless! We love you guys and the real couples willing to star in your series! Thank you!

We loved the transformation the bettersex DVD Video Series improved our sexlife so much. Having real couples helped us talk about sex something we really didn't do.

My wife and I absolutely LOVE the Better Sex Video Series. I just counted and we have 17 individual DVDs. My wife is very anti-porn, but the use of real couples really removes the "porn" feeling. Plus, the dialog gets us as a couple talking as well. "What do you think of that?" and "would you be interested in trying that?" are said alot between us while watching. And in itself, watching these videos is a change in the routine sex couples fall into.

I think one of our few complaints would have to be with the roleplaying video (jail scene in the youtube video is part of it). This is probably the least realistic (who has access to a jail cell?) The best examples are the examples you can use. I would love to see a video or even scripts for some realistic roleplaying couples could perform.

Personally, I think scripts would be a great seller.
